The Match : Manu and Villareal have ensured there place in the next round of the champions league with a less than eventfull put productive 0-0 draw. Both teams seemed to match eachother in every part of the pitch with one portuguese winger stealing the game or performance. He showed his status as one of the best in the world with his brilliant left foot volley at the end of the first half . His overall team and ball play was top draw and ill be suprised if united havn't found the next best thing in world football.
For Villarreal even though he is getting on, Robert Pires is still alive and kicking after practically controling the midfield with knowledge and experience. Between the two teams I do think Manutd will progress furthur however Villarreal are one of those teams that can come good at any time.

The Match :

It was a frustrating match at Celtic park last night. Manchester United hoped to complete the double over celtic after winning at old trafford but it obviously was'nt to be. United, I think outplayed celtic in all areas of the pitch but we couldn't turn our possesion into goals. MCDONALD's goal was a beauty, he had control, composure and placement all in one movement resulting in a lightly lobbed ball over keeper Ben Foster, who apart from conceeding had a good game. It was'nt until the 84th minute where United broke through celtic's strong and experienced defence with RYAN GIGGS' rebound header from a powerfull swerving effort from Ronaldo.

Overall the result does'nt tell the complete story of the game, United with the full control over the game should have won but Celtic do deserve the point after their brilliant defence which showed togetherness and heart within the team.

It is certain that Manu came to play from the start. There is no douting people will wonder whether BERBATOV'S goals should have been allowed., but there’s no questioning ROONEY'S brilliant shot. United definatly wanted it more and therefore deserved the three points.



It is hard to find any arguments against Manutd's peformance. United after the first goal seemed to cruise through celtic. It will be testing match against Villarreal in the next round.

The Match:

Ok, instead of banging on about the bookings and the reff like all the other reviews do, lets jump straight to the important part. THE GOALS. Wesly Wesly Brown is a legend in my opinion, why? becuase he can pop up in any match, against any defence and head one in and he did exactly that against blackburn. Nani chips one in from the left side after a well worked free kick, Brown cleverly drifts off from the defending pack and neatly heads it in to the near right side of the goal. It finishes at 1-0 at half time but its in the second half united turn up the pace.

Its a well worked counter attact that separates the sides even more, a counter attact constructed by are very own portugise wonderkid Ronaldo. Ronaldo is bombing it down the right wing past the opposing left back, he gets into a good position and cuts it back to Rooney who sets himself up to almost clip it over the keeper into the back of the net.

WHAT A GAME, it looks like our jittery start is coming to an end!

The Match:
Now I would bore you with the bookings of them evertonians BUT i feel the goals are more important. THE RONALDO PENALTY was very controversial as apparently J Lloyd Samuel got the ball in his poor attemp of a tackle, the penalty was given and Ronaldo thunderd it bottom corner. THE ROONEY GOAL. Now, the way he took this was sublime to say the least, Ronaldo dances into the box blowing past the tiring left back and then skillfully back heeled it to rooney who did a cheeky little fake shot to loose his man leavin the ball perfectly poised to be curled round the keepers stretching fingers into the back of the net. The weekends game was the best performance given by United this season.
